Angry Birds on the Web

Bringing Angry Birds to the browser when a web game still meant a banner ad: the open web as a real games platform.
A talk, given with Serdar Soganci, on bringing Angry Birds to the open web while I was at Rovio.
The phenomenon was native and mobile-first. The web version was about reach: making the game playable in a browser, and treating the open web as another distribution surface for a franchise that was defining mobile.
It is an early example of a thread that runs through my work: take something that lives in one place, and make it feel native somewhere new.
