The first DWeb Camp, organized by the Internet Archive and the decentralized-web community, ran in July 2019. From the official program:
- Ramine Darabiha (under the handle Shokunin) gave the lightning talk "Design Patterns for the DWeb" on Friday, July 19, in the Lightning Salon.
- Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, presented "Let's talk about Solid" on Saturday, July 20, in the Dome of Decentralization.
Contemporaneous coverage of the camp noted Berners-Lee in attendance, offering the history of the World Wide Web, alongside participants including Mary Lou Jepsen, Internet Archive founder Brewster Kahle, and Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin of the Center for Humane Technology.
